Default Are all Type-R clusters amber??

Basic question.

I just received a rather beat-up Type-R cluster...so I swapped the pieces over into my LS housing.

The gauges light up that amberish...orange...yellow color.

I just took the bulbs out and made sure they were NEW "WHITE" bulbs...and the gauges are still orange when the lights are on.

I changed out the THREE MAIN bulbs...and that didn't do it...am I missing something...or is it the gauge face ITSELF that's orange/whatevercoloryouwanttocallit.

Help me out...the orange is the ONLY thing that doesn't match the rest of my interior!!

BLECH!!

Yes. You can take off the gauge faces and use the stock USDM faces.

The color is in the gauge face themselves.
