Default 98spec type R or LS turbo

which would you choose? i'm planning on swapping around the end of the summer and i'm not sure which to choose.. i hear LS turbo is pretty cheap, and will still be alot quicker than the type r, but well, the type r is just baller =P..

B18C5's are baller, but dishing out 4k+ when you could have spend about 2.5k for the LS + the turbo and having to eat Top Ramen for the next year and a half is not baller. What is your budget?

Whatever floats your boat.

type-r you can certainly beat on every day.

LS will need a good tune and be in good condition when you boost it.

I'd go LS turbo. BABBAAAAWHWAHHWHWH PSSSHH!HHH!!!

ls turbo ...BABBAAAAWHWAHHWHWH PSSSHH!HHH!!! ...way fun!!!. cheaper also. you can build a ls stroker 2.2L for like 2500 and throw a turbo on it and have a monster engine. stroker will spool fast as H3ll and have alot of tq that what you really want hp is over rated. tq is where you win races. b20 turbo is also something to look at

LS-T

On stock internals you can eat ITRs all day long. Not to mention a turbo setup for an LS is like 1/2 the price of an ITR.

yea, the type R is baller, BUT expensive.. how much would it be to get a NICE LS turbo setup (intercooler, hard piping, wastegate, bov.. etc, etc) all i want to do is run like, 8lbs until i put rods and pistons in it.. and i'm pretty sure i can get a LS for right next to nothing with like.. 50k miles on it.. i think i'm leaning LSturbo, but b18c is still lingering, also JDM GSR

i have like.. a solid 4500-maybe 5000 to spend..
