this has been covered before. but since you live in california your better off using a taser or stun gun non lethal. also bean bag guns cause with california law if hes on in your house and you kill him you can get murder charges even protecting your car. dont ask me why its california

<--- 8" blade in door pocket. Broken in half EG/DC lower strut tower brace with a ground sharpened tip next to driver's seat. (If the car gets searched, "the blade's in my car from the last hunting trip 2 days ago", and "that's just a car part I'm taking to get installed")

No concealed weapons permit yet (Not 21), but first thing I'm doing when I turn 21 (Among other things) is applying for my CWP.

As for home security... I feel sorry for anyone who tries to enter my garage in the middle of the night to take my caR... Hope they don't mind the contents of their skull spattered about 2 car lengths from their twitching body. I'd kill a theif in a second if they're trying to enter my home, and I can do it well within my legal rights.

I hope you brought a flame suit...

My personal opinion is that no car is worth a life. Cars can be replaced, money can be saved again, but you cannot bring someone back from the dead.

i agree with you slighly only because its happened to friends/family but on the other hand theres always that feeling of is he really packing.

after having my car stolen and finding the people who did it i wanted to kill them but then i went legal actions. i have a concealed weapons permit so that if my life is threaten anytime i have the soul right to protect my self. i have had a hand gun pulled on me its not a feeling i like.

but heres the real toll if you use a gun to protect yourself and your property.

1. Can you pull the trigger on a human
2. Know the legal rights you have to save yourself
3. Can you live with the fact you killed someone (this will haunt you)

Realistically, what are the chances that you'd be present when your car is stolen? Pretty much all cases of cars stolen, the owners were not present or oblivious that anything was goin on.

I had a gun pulled on me when I had my pile of **** d16 purple, coupe, non-modded, hubcapped civic that I bought specifically for road trips. Why, because I give the ******* a brake check. At the time I couldnt afford a hand gun, now I can afford one, and when I get back to the states, I will own one. Im Probably going to get my CWP as soon as I go home on leave this next time.

My reasons:
1. self protection. Im from the country, windows and doors were always unlocked/open. My wife and I want to move more into the 'city' when we do settle down, and there is a bigger theft rate there. Not to mention that expletive who pulled the gun on me, he would have been done.

2. sport/leisure. Im a Marine. I like to shoot ****. It's fun. End of story.

3. Protect my belongings. (not to be confused with self protection) You come into my house, you'll be delt with. My brother-in-law held a dude at gun point until the police showed up, with a empty magazine in the gun. No one was hurt, and the theif got what he had comming to him.
I would probably do things a little differently.

A gun to protect my car, it will protect everything I own.

man it amazes me what the laws allow in the US

having a replica firearm (i.e. a blank firing) is 5 years in prison if you're caught with one

yet you guys are allowed to carry them on you, when you go shopping, or to work. its scary

Very true. But someone ENTERING MY HOUSE, whether to steal my car, or possibly cause harm to me, is opening themselves up to getting dropped. It's happened before, and I didn't know what to do (I was 13). So now, I'm ready. Not to mention it's theif season around here... I live in a pretty nice neighborhood, but right around mid December and all of summer, robberies in this area are ample.

I'm sure killing the guy breaking into my house would haunt me for the rest of my life... Who was he? Why did he have to resort to that life? Who's his family? What could he have been? What WOULD he have been? I'm sure I'd ask myself those questions all day, everyday. But the fact is, if I shot him while he was entering my house, and I felt my life was threatened, I would NOT hesitate to lay into him.

No, I'm not some crazed redneck. I just work too hard for what I have, to allow some low life piece of **** to take it all away.

It doesn't bother me.

Not every jackass is allowed to carry a concealed weapon legally. Laws vary by state, and there are licensing processes.

That said, I own firearms mainly because they're fun, but also to protect myself and my family. I'm not going to shoot someone because they're stealing a car out of my driveway. However, if they're attempting to enter my house and I have reason to believe they mean us harm, the situation will be resolved.

UK gun laws simply do nothing about protecting citizens and safegurading freedoms. We all know gun control is a left wing gov't agenda thats tries to disarm any resistance post 9-11 inorder to take away your liberties. It simply does nothing to lower crime and homocide levels. We all know, its not the tool that kills but rather the person. Look @ your UK crime levels post GUN PROHIBITION and shift towards knife gangs and baseball bats.

Exactly. People will always find ways to use weapons... Take prison for example. What person would think milar film, and a pen could be turned into a deadly weapon? They don't have guns, and they're still pretty efficient killers.

if i saw someone trying to steal my R. i'd shoot the expletive outta him.

i will shoot him so he almost dies.. but not completely kill him

i wouldn't aim it for his head or heart..

and that's if i have a gun.. i'm in canada.

I have a gun, but it's primary purpose is not to protect my car. It's to protect myself first.

HK USP-C .45

Edit: And it looks like I'm going to the range again today. I'll try to get some pics and post on here later.

If my car was parked outside... No, I wouldn't either, chances are I wouldn't even notice it was going down. But if it's in my garage, and someone breaks into my garage, I'd assume he's not JUST after my car, and since my garage is part of my house, I'd be well within my legal limits.

I'm just saying I don't think I'd be able to live with myself for killing some dude for trying to steal a car, it's just a hunk of metal... I would consider blasting knee caps out though.
