Default just swapped to a B16 tranny now clutch won't disengage...

Hey guys, I just got off the phone with my good friend who is a mechanic and he is doing my tranny right now (i am at work). there are some things going on that i need help with.

i have a 95 GSR with a exedy stg 1 clutch/PP and type r flywheel. we took the tranny out about a month ago and clutch looked great. i have been driving around on it and he drove it into the shop today to swap the tranny. it felt normal.

now he put the tranny in and the clutch will not disengage itself. the wheels will still move and you can tell the clutch is just slipping. he said in neutral it shifts smooth but when in gear the wheels will move and if you hit the brakes even it will just stall out.

he pulled it out...changed the shift fork to the old one, bled the clutch, changed the slave, and still does the same thing. he said he asked a few other mechanics at the shop and at specialized honda shops and they said it sounds like my pressure plate is weak. he said the fingers look kind of flat and don't stick out much like they should.

does this sound right?!?! how could my clutch/PP be good going into in the shop with the gsr tranny but be messed up an hour later with the B16 tranny?!?

well after getting no help here at all, we took the tranny out a bunch of times, replaced a bearing, did some other stuff and nothing worked. we then tried a new slave cylinder and that was it the whole time. just bled the clutch a couple times and made sure it was full with fluid and now its perfect, shifts like butter!
