alright so..im thinkin turbo..help me out guys
alright ive been fondling around with this thinking process for awhile and all my friends say i should boost my 03 acura rsx base type model. as much as i love the k20a2's i believe k20a3s are more efficient because of the lowcompressiion pistons and the a2's have higher compressions. so correct me if im wrong, if i boost my a3 with stock internals just for a while , is there a possibilty of it blowing right after i boost and tune it with kpro? others say im wasting my time with boosting a a3 and might as well spend it on a a2. but i dont want that i wanna do something new i guess? i figure..t25 turbo, intercooler, kpro, lsd, etc . nowi dont i prolly wont beat a type s, but i figure i can be somewhere along that line, i also forgot to mention my dc5 is a 5spd. sorry guys i really need you guys to help me!! thanks for reading btw
You can still make power out of your A3. **** you can make power out of anything if you do it right. No your motor wont blow up if you just boost it and get it tuned, just remember tho do it right the first time and you'll be fine. You're not really doing anything new i've seen a lot of people boost their A3's who don't have an A2. You'll be able to boost more psi out of your A3 then you would in an A2 due to the compression but the thing with an A2 is they make more power then the A3. I'm not saying to run ungoddly amounts of boost on your stock block but you can push more then an A2 can. Good luck with it if you go thru with it. Let us know how it goes.
i boosted an A3, got 305 HP and 320 ft lbs, jus gotta do it right, i run 10 psi, wit AEM EMS, had it for 2 years now, and havnt blown anything yet, runs strong as hell, and whoops alot of cars, ive never had a problem wit A3
