Default HONDATA problem...?

Okay, I recently had the HONDATA S100 installed.

But everytime I'm cruising on the freeway, my CEL comes on solid. It doesn't put it in limp mode or anything, just stays solid.

Turn the car off, turn the car on. CEL is gone. Cruise a little more, CEL comes on.

Is this truly a problem, or just a HONDATA glitch.

maybe there's a wire break on the ECU/Jumper Harness. It has happend to me before. If the check engine is on, reset it. If lights back on, jump it to pull the code. Then trace those wires down........hope this helps!

The wires are fine, I plugged a different ECU in and didn't get any CEL's.

Put mine back in and CEL popped up. Everytime I turn the car off and turn it back on it goes away.

I've tried jumping it to pull the code, but nothing popped up.

does it do it when you let off the throttle and ride the rpm?

It's not a Hondata 'glitch'. There is a root cause for the CEL. Sounds like an O2 sensor, but it could be anything.

I can't trace it to anything I do in specific. It's always on the freeway when it comes on, never during city driving.

I ran with a different ECU for a few days and the CEL never popped up.

i have to argue with b19coupe i had a similar problem and it was my o2... so i got the o2 removed from the crome ecu program i was using at the time. that's why i was asking if it did it only when you let off rode the rpm down... fuel ratio is all over the place when you do this and messes up your o2 sometimes...
