confused??
I try to be safe in my own stuff, whether its my bike or car...
So I hear all this talk about how you shouldn't go fast on a bike because it's dangerous and "squidly". However, on this same forum, you have a "kill stories" sub-forum about how fast/ irresponsible you can be in a car.
My question is... how is one justified and not the other? (I realize the obvious inherent dangers of falling off a bike as opposed to being in a car, with air bag's, seatbelt's and such) but intrinsically, nothing is different!
I don't seem to understand...

different strokes. thats all.
the general attitude around here is to keep the speeding on the track (drag/RR).
but there are those that test the upper limits of their machine.
just different strokes

I am less concerned with "falling off" the bike than I am with the sudden and usually painful stop that precedes the fall.

some people just feel the need to be ***'s when it comes to speed . I mean we all speed but its just plain stupid to do it on croweded highways an roads. I could never see driving down the thruway at 120 in the car or on the bike in five o'clock traffic just not for me i guess. But i don't want to say i never push the limits but if im going to crash id rather it by self mistake by myself then racing threw a busy area just for the hell of it.
Just because the "kill stories" forum exists doesn't mean we approve of it. I think it's an immature stupid sub-forum.
I speed, i ride aggressively sometimes. I drive over the speed limit. But I don't go around racing people from lights or pretending for even a second that my ford ranger could take anything in a race.
And the "kill stories" forum isn't part of the motorcycling forum, it's just part of honda-tech. So there's no need to be confused.

IMO its "safer" to speed in a car on the roads than a bike. But yeah the Kills forums has a bunch of tards posting in it most of the time.
I will only speed in off peak times, and for the most part in the express lanes, which are blocked off from even the regular express ways for a few miles.
But even then I rarely speed over 10 mph. Mostly since my current car is a slow Accord, and also the tie rods, and other componenets are bad and I don't want to risk them breaking at speed.

hanging around cagers on the freeway is an accident waiting to happen.

They teach this in the MSF. I tell my friend this, but he rides without a license so he avoids speeding because he doesn't want a ticket
I need some less squidly friends.
