Default JRSC owners inside please

What did the Jackson Racing Kit do to your gas mileage? I was interested in this kit. How does the bypass valve work? Does it only provide boost at full throttle? Thanks

well with sc boost is pretty much through your whole powerband, once you nash the throttle your boosting. no need to wait for anything to spool. not sure what it does for gas mileage though. should not affect it too much.

It works the same as a turbo in respect to gas mileage.

If you romp on it it chews through fuel.

If you don't hit boost (on a turbo) you'll use the same amount (assuming it's properly tuned) and if you hit boost lightly (usually applicable in small, stock, turbos like the turbo VW's) but aren't hammering it you'll save a bit of gas.

As for superchargers it's the same concept - if you go easy on the throttle you'll get BETTER gas mileage (to an extent) (assuming it isn't half-*** tuned in front of ur house) but when u nail it obviously it'll own it much like anything else.

..

FI can save you fuel, but when it comes down to it, you need to burn something to make power.

Somethings gotta give - in charging it's your fuel if you're hard on it.

I understand the dynamics of how it will use my fuel. I just was hoping for some actual numbers! Thanks.

lol, yaba, using my damn name. Haha. Im guessing that it will lower your gas mileage. Like the first guy said if you mash on it (like you will do as soon as you get it on) your gas mileage will go down a lot. But if your light on the throttle it will stay pretty much the same, but Im guessing it will go down a bit from stock.

you have never been turbo or supercharger, illdo you a favor you're alsways in "boost" as you say air is always being pushed through the compressor if you mean full boost which you probaple say you were to cover the fact up that you didnt then you are still wrong lol it all depends on the tune, a street tune is a tune that is done onm the street that just dumps stupid amount of fuel in it to get it from detonationg yep rich is safer than lean btw

Before JRSC, my D16 was getting around 33mpg (average).

After JRSC, with the JRSC FMU/Fuel Relay = 26mpg (average).

With JRSC pretuned map (it's working alright now - I still need to dial in the AFR's) - 29mpg (average).

Not sure how much gains I'll see in MPG after I polish the fuel maps, but we'll see.
