Default what's a good header that clears ITR motor/trans brace?

Right now i'm running a JDM DC header thats smashed, so its time for a new header. I really want a hytech/rage header, but considering the price of the header, i don't think i'll have enough to change my trans brace to a b16/GSR one. So what are my other options?

The SMSP multi-piece 4-2-1 that we installed on my brother's car clears the brace.

The one we installed on my brother's car definitely does, and it's the 4-2-1 long-tube B18C5 header.

It was a bit of a while ago, but I believe there may have been one bolt head that was in the way slightly. Other than that, it just went right on with no modification to the brace, fan shrouds, AC or anything else.

If I'm not mistaken, the tubing configuration on Dave's early header designs may have required clearancing the brace, but I recall him stating that he eliminated that issue through a revised design.

Be careful in EXACTLY WHICH HEADER you're talking about, and to be positive ask Dave at SMSP when you order one.

My recent 4-2-1 (where they're all in the same plane unde the oil pan) doesn't make room for even a bolt head, much less ANY type of brace.

Yes, you should certainly double-check with Dave.

Which header did you order?

I described it above and its in your quote!

All I'm saying is that such blanket statements like yours are prone to not being "entirely" true!

David offers a number of 4-2-1 B-series headers that match your description, so I was simply curious which specific one you had ordered.

You're right. I'll rephrase my original statement. It's true that not every SMSP header will provide the same amount of clearance.

Dave's a good friend of mine and has done a lot of work for/on my various ITRs.

All I was trying to point out is that "it all depends".
My particular one was his 4-2-1 1.9L version that's flat under the oil pan.

... I've got to get back to "work".

Agreed. My apologies if my original post was misleading.
