jdm gsr swap... TB and cable?
Just finished my B18C swap in my Teg and got everything hooked and running except for the throttle cable. The jdm TB linkage is obviously backwards and I cannot hook up the throttle cable to it. Can I turn the linkage right side up...use a usdm tB or....
BTW the motor is OBD1

it seems like you should be able to use a usdm throttle body. just make sure you get the same size so you don't lose power. just compare the two side by side, and if the only difference is that the jdm one is backward then the usdm one should work fine.

I think youre right because my friends TB is exactly the same as mine but the linkage has 2 points to where the linkage can be attatched to and the one I got with the swap only has the wrong one

i did a jdm swap in my teg too. what you gotta do is get a new throttle cable, i think type R worked for me, cuz its a little longer. the thing with jdm engines is they are from right hand drive cars so they route the throttle differently. but i rerouted mine close to the firewall, behind the intake manifold and connects to the throttle from over the throttle body.
