Default Burns oil

Ok so between oil changes i always check my oil because it has high mileage and burns a bit of oil... but i just checked it today and the dipstick was at half... wtf... is it burning that much oil??? i had to add 2 quarts to complete it

but the motor doesnt smoke not one bit.. .but its burning mad oil on me and it dont even leak... it has 110k miles

Ive got a similar problem my car will eat about 2 sometimes 3 quarts over the course of 3000 miles... it doesnt smoke, but none the less it doesnt leave me warm and fuzzy, cars got 201k on it.

lol my valve seats are out and im burning about a quart a day of oil and it barley smokes at all and i only have 50k miles but lets just say i have had a slight nitrous issue lol imma leave it at that

your vavle seats? or your vavle guides? i dont see what the seats have to do with oil consumption? unless its somehow compression related?

bump cuz i have no idea why its burning so much oil im guessing i have a lot of carbon build up in my engine

Have you replaced your PCV valve? Because a sticking PCV will burn oil. Up to 1/2 a quart in 50 miles.

Replace it don't try to clean it. Trust me it is from experience.

im having a similar problem, i just checked my oil yesterday after changing oil about 2 weeks ago, and i was barley on the dip stick (which scared me.) filled it, and now keep a quart in my car. i got a b16a and its only got about 35k on it. im not really sure what to do about this. but i do see smoke in vtec, but its also running really rich.. need to lean it out...

r u SURE its not leaking anywhere?? And im talking into ur coolant too (head gasket issue)

Also if its a VTEC engine you have to realize hondas naturally consume some oil.
