Default Thinking about an '05 Civic Si Hatch

I've test driven one, and liked it, but.. being with a dealer and mother, it's kinda hard to really open it up and etc. I really enjoy autocross, and I want to go to the strip every once in a while. So, my question is, does anyone on here autocross their Si hatches on this board? What kind of quarter mile times are you guys getting with what mods?

I want to learn how to do general bolt ons and general maint, so would this be a pretty good canidate for it? Is the K20 worth modding?

I didn't see any rules or anything on "Should I buy threads" like on most forums, so if that rule applies here, feel free to delete it.

Thanks for the help guys.

You might want to head to the right forum for this.

well the k20a,2,z1,z3 are much much worth more for modding then the k20a3 which he would have.

Depends on how much you want to do with your A3 (got discussed pretty heavily not long ago ).

For autocross, it's fun, and in competitive terms, it can be pretty good in its Stock class. Start modding, though, and various mods will bump it into classes where it'll surely be underpowered and underequipped (mine is in STX, and I have to race against cars like Mini Cooper S's and WRXs). Even so, as I said, it's quite fun, has plenty of space for carrying tires and whatnot, and its dash shifter is just what everyone needs.

Autocrossing's different from driving like that on the street, though. I imagine that she'd be more likely to support autocrossing if he can demonstrate good behavior on public roads.

WOT with an EP3 is not dangerous when you know what to expect, lol. But I know what you mean.
