Default Hood problem...

I decided to do my hood cable relocation today and it went smoothly but I got pretty greedy and decided to do the metal plate to protect the hood latch, but it was getting dark so I put back everything to the way it was and decided to do everything tommrow. When it tried opening the hood again, it didn't open.

Is there anyway to open the hood?

luckily this didn't happen with the metal plate on ....

I think, I didn't place the wire in correctly when I was putting things back.

I found a diagram of how the latch looks

so what should i grab?

ok I tried sticking my whole arm underneath the bumper and it seems like its impossible to get under.

Can some one elaborate how to pop the hood if the hood cable on the latch is disconnected?

You are definately in a tight position. If the cable isnt even connected to the latch, no use in pulling the cable.

You may have to just get a coat hanger and start fishing until you can grapple onto the latch.

You may be able to reach through the mouth of the front bumper and get your hand up there and move the latch by hand. Same thing happened to me but there is just enough room to get a small set of hands up there to wiggle the latch. That is how thieves do it as my friend's prelude had the cable ripped out when they attempted to steal his car and I was able to open it by getting my hand up there as they had disconnected the cable.
