R swap wiring harness problem
so my 96 integra ls finally died, i thought i would do myself the favor of picking up a type r swap to take her place. i figured the easiest thing to do would be to buy the 96-97 type r swap since it's the same as my car right? but not quite. i go to put my ls harness on the type r swap (because i got a jdm swap and the jdm harness won't reach without modifications) and the distributor wiring and the alternator wiring is diff on the engine. it's like the engine has an obd1 ditributor and an obd1 alternator but the injecotors had the obd2 clips on them. the alternator wasn't a big deal because i just put the ls one on the type r and plugged it but but the distributor leaves me in a bind. what should i do? i've seared and came up with one solution for making an obd1 to obd 2 conversion harness but isn't my swap already obd 2?. any help would be much appreciated.
you can swap the internals out of the dizzy into the other..you will also need the wires for the v-teck
....if you were local i could swap the dizzys around for you
....if you were local i could swap the dizzys around for you
or you can grind one of the legs off your old dizzy and it wil lbolt up with the top bolt. vtec wires are easy to run too. just find the wire diagrams and run 2 wires into the ecu and one ground.
