Default h22 w/ h23 trans

im about to work on my prelude and i have a friend that wants just the engine w/o transmision. and i was wonderin if i buy a h22 block and build my h22 with build internals would i be able to use my h23 trans

yes but the gears are slightly longer than an H22.

Really isnt anything to "fix" so to say. It works give it a try you might like it. If you want the shorter gears then get a h22 tranny.

when you say the gears are longer do you mean that the gear ratios are longer or what.

Yeah, acceleration will be slightly lower but you'll also have slightly higher top speed and better highway mpg.
