rule of thumb, if its your first bike and you want to buy a newer 600cc machine (newer as in made after the year 2000) then the best choice is the f4i by far.

The best R6 there is, is the '05 R6. If anything there should be some decent ones around for 5-6k?

My sis got her '02 for $1500 (10000+ miles), but had to fix the stator cover, n' a couple miscellaneous parts, but in all, wasn't too much work. Ended up spending a couple hundred bucks. It runs like a top now.

BTW, if you do get the bike, take those stickers off.. uhgghgh.

Thing looks beat and overpriced. I paid $3k for one in 03 with half that mileage.

The bike was laid down. Yea I think the stickers look stupid too. I do like the paint job and the miles. This dough is burning a hole in my pocket but I'm going to hold off. I'm sure I can find a beautiful bike for 4k.

and why is that? the f4i is just as fast if not faster than the other competitors...

save your money and buy an 03 - by far the favorite bike i have owned. 03+ are FI and an extra bone in the trans. 02 and below are notorious for busted transmissions.

I don't think it's a matter of fast as much as easy to ride, reliability and cost of entry.

$3600 cash. The paints, stickers, age, and crash make it worth that and not much more.
