I have that code since day 1 of my ITR swap in my DA...it has never affect my VTEC engagement and the light only come on after a couple of minutes or even hours of driving...some people told me that my tuner will not be able to tune the car because of that code...i know for sure that my car has no VSS... its a speedometer cable instead that provide me that speed im runing...any output on that would help me!!!

If you are using bre then the vss check for vtec engagement can be disabled.
I'm surprized you have vtec because typically the ecu requires speed for vtec to engage.

 

thats what i was thinking.

 

is maybe because of my S100...the ecu bypass the code and my VTEC engage properly...

 

For cable drive trannys, the vss is in your cluster.

Yes that is very possible. I'm assuming your speedo cable is not broken.

No my speedocable is brand new...and my speedometer is working fine on the cluster!!! Do you know if my old 1991 OEM integra cluster has a VSS in it so i could get the change...or maybe its coming from my ecu...

Yes, hks used to make item called the speed defender. But I don't know about his set-up.

 

I just wanna know if this code can affect the tuning even if its normal that i code the VSS because im using a P28 ecu and hes trying to find the VSS but on the obd0 integra there is no VSS its the cable...

 

some pre obd1 cars got VSS... they are IN the CLUSTER actually where the speedometer cable goes into the cluster... u can put one in from a crx Si if yours ain't good and if it doesn't have one you can still put it in there.

 

i have check...no VSS into 0bd0 integra...the code only appears because my obd1 ecu search for it but i dont have one...the check engine light appear sometimes 1 hour after the car is start!!! Can this affect my dyno tuning or not???
