Default b16 swap.....keep original wiring harness with hasport subharness?

im helping my friend with a b16 swap next weekend.....he ordered the hasport sub wiring harness since he has an HF model. do we use the harness from the original engine or from the b16 he ordered?? im guessing the b16 harness will be cut so i am assuming that the HF harness will connect to the subharness

You use the orginal harness from the car and add the sir sub-harness. Easy as cake.

anything else i should know before i go help?? ive done a b16 swap and he has the hasport sub-harness, motor mounts, shift linkage, and SI knuckles, and complete swap with everything else. theres a little modifying done to the frame for the new mounts right, but other than that it seems pretty straight forward. so all we have to do is drop it in and wire her up right??

you'll have to bang in part of wall next to the alternator so the pully can clear

I banged in my cross member for the new mounts. Then when I put the mount on to see if I banged it in enough, I figured out I didnt have to. When you get the mounts just line it up and see. Chances are you wouldnt need to do it.

That is not for clarence of the manifold. It actually for the clarence of the mount. I beleive the old mounts this was necessary untill they came out with their new and improved ones.

Good Luck with the swap.

About that harness that could be made for cheap. what would you charge? I actually need one for duel point to multi point and Vtec.

Or a sight that could give a little info on how to do it myself.
