Default KPRO on 2004 Base

Would I be looking at any significant gains on a N/A A3 with a AEM Short Ram and cat-back?

I have an 02 Base (with no mods at the time) and I saw significant gains when I bought Kpro. Not to mention it's perfect for any future mods. if you have that kind of cheese I highly recommend it.

Yeah I want to know too Forsure you can't be more than 150whp if you don't have supporting mods... Maybe from 135whp to 145whp at most with a really really good tune without supporting mods...

As soon as I get it dyno'd I'll post the numbers. I have built quite a few Honda/Acuras to know it's a pretty good increase when the performance of the car is noticed instantly.

Yeah I would like to know as well...and remember to post what kind of dyno machine you used because some actually reads like 10 -15% higher...

I will definitely keep everyone up to date but due to my work schedule it will probably be next weekend when I get it on the dyno.

I seen a k20a3 hit 169 whp with kpro, header, catback, cai, and an intake manifold.

So, would it be worth the dough on a near stock (except for AEM Short Ram and cat-bck custom exhaust) A3? Besides, boost, what else would give me some more power? I'm almost desperate. I'm new to K-motors but wouldn't putting an A2 head on an A3 block give me some nasty gains?

yes k-pro is worth the cash flow. yes you'd get some real good gains putting an A2 head on an A3 but there's more to it then slapping an A2 head onto an A3. To me it's just a pain to make an A2 head work on an A3, all kinds of **** has to be done. You can find that thread on crsx.

a2 has much more n/a potential. I wouldn't build an a3 unless for boost.

Yeah I've seen this set up with this amount of hp for supporting mods...but just bone stock with k-pro you'll be lucky if you'll see 145whp...

I finally got it dyno'd on a Dynojet. It was 142hp @ 6600 rpm and 131tq @ 3100 rpm. Not bad for just Hondata modified airbox, DCRH, stock 06 Type-S exhaust, and Kpro using the base 91 octane tune. I just bought a Greddy turbo kit with 650cc injectors and FMIC. Once I install that and get it tuned I'll post up the new numbers.

Your #'s look kinda low...Replace the hondata modified airbox...it is killing you big time...you'll be better with a 3 inch cai which you'll probably be looking atleast 150hp because I don't think the DCRH is doing good with the airbox...Your best gains would be better with a cai supported by the DCRH.

No bueno on the CAI where I live, too much flooding when it rains. It really doesn't matter though because I bought a turbo kit.

only 160hp, big difference
there's a range on how much a s/c can make on a k20a3
average i've seen is around 205-210whp (or i guess near 250hp like you said), which is not bad considering
