I have searched for almost an hour now and have gotten no real answer for my question so here it is. I have a d16y8 block, d16z6 head, and a skunk2 d16y8 intake manifold. I need to know what throttle cable to use in my 1993 Civic LX 4dr. I do not wnat to purchase any more parts that will not work so any help would be much appreciated and thanks in advance for your response!

 

which throttle cable have u tried? did u try both the d16z and the d16y8?? I have a d15b7 on hand, im sure its the same for the d16z.

 

I have only tried a b series so far because that was all I had. I am going tomorrow to purchase the throttle cable and I just really need to know which one to get. The Z6 cable is only 17.99 from Advance and the other one is going to be a Honda Genuine Part. I would really like to stay away from the dealership because of the price!

 

well i couldve told ya the b series wouldn't work. u're going to need one of the two D series, which one i dont know. I'm sure either one should work though.

best bet would be to go with the throttle cable with the corresponding manifold.
