Default FRM.......can it be bored???

i have a 1990 prelude si and it has the b21a1 engine. i know they are bad for burning oil because the cylinder walls tear up the rings but is there a way to stop this? i am rebuilding the engine but im goin to stop if i cant even bore it out because the frm is too strong. so all i need to know is can the walls be bored or is it impossible because of the frm, also can i just re-ring the pistons and get away with it that way? please help because i dont want to waste alot of money on this thing!!!!

Yes it can be bored and honed. It does require special hone stones so make sure your local shop can deal with it.If the cylinders are still in good shape you can re-ring it.
