Default Good cams for my setup?

I am tyring to decide on some cams for my setup and have been researching on HT alot. I have read alot of stories about people getting cams and actually losing power because they don't have the correct setup. Also is a piggyback engine management capable of supporting 250+n/a WHP(my goal) or should i go ahead and start looking for a stand alone. This is what I am working with. Any input would be helpful and will be considered.

250+whp n/a on b18c5, prepare to do a lotta tuning and have lots of $$. I'm not even sure anyone has ever made 250+whp on a n/a c5. If there was someone that did it, they must of spent thousands of $$ and countless hours of tuning. For certain you'll see over 190+whp. With your setup I would run BC cams or skunk2 stage 3 cams, that should do you justice. But also look into ITB's if your really serious about making power.

ok well good to know that my goal is pretty much out of reach LOL. I read that the skunk2 stage 3's like 12:1 and above. Is that true?

I can't recall the compression the skunk2 stage 3 cams call for, someone else who knows should chime in. Look into a better high flowing header as well, like hy-tech. For the ecu, I suggest getting a standalone system like Hondata s300, for full customization and adjustability of your ecu for optimum performance.

Toda cams or even toda parts are pricey to begin with, but again you get what you pay for and, ultimately it pays to play.

the vtec killer cams I don't quite understand. Does the low RPM lobe have the same profile as what would be the Vtec lobe? So essentially you are just always in vtec or do you disable the vtec system all together and now my typeR motor is a shittier version of the LS?

toda vtec killers run only two lobes per cylinder as opposed to the stock 3 lobes. you remove the vtec solenoid and all related parts so that's a nice weight savings right there so you'll basically have a big cammed nonvtec b18. they are not advisable for a street driven car because of the very lopey idle and practically nonexistant low end.

to the OP; you are not coming near 250whp with that setup. consider 210-220whp a godsend if you can hit it.

rm m22x's, skunk2 pro1's, buddy club IV's would do well in that engine
