Default Anyone got tips to crackin lug nuts off.

Seems like when I had my swap done the dude must have used an air gun and just plowed the lug nuts on to the max.

I'm outside tryin to put in my new suspension but the dam lug nuts will not budge.
I tried adding a long bar on the end of the socket wrench for some leverage but still cant budge em.

Anyone have any ideas how I can get this bastards off?

you might be SOL if the lugs were over torqued then they might not come off. You might need an impact gun and have to brake the studs off. Then you will need to replace the studs and lug nuts. So you might want to be prepared and have them on hand to replace

How long is the bar? You should be able to remove them with a 14" breaker bar. If you have a 24" breaker bar, even better.

24" breaker bar or air tools are your best friend.

if you can get a long bar... more than 24" some times i use my jack handle.... 3 or 4 feet works really well just make sure you dont angle it at all

Those **** heads are on crazy. I dont even wanna try again I am afraid of what I might do. You dont even understand how frustrated I am right now.

I would kinda rather seem them break off so I can smash them to a million pieces and then **** on the remains

drive to a service station and just have them back them off and put them back on. They probably won't even charge you. Get home, and pull em off.

go to the nearest garage and ask a mechanic nicely if he will use his impact gun to take off your lug nuts and put them back on not so tight

then slip him 5$ or 10$ and say thank you

Try a little heat? Don't get them red hot or anything, just heat em up a bit and take a breaker bar to them.

Yea I triple checked I was going the right way, even made an *** of myself by asking a neighbour if I was just to make sure the fustration wasnt clouding my judgment.

I gave up, I'm not gonna have time to finsih the job now even if I got the lugs off at this point. So I'm gonna take it to a shop someplace and see if I cant get the lugs taken off as recommend above.

I dont know whey I am so nice to my car, seems like every time I try to do something on it myself it finds a way to make the job a living hell. I can only imagine how many bolts (expecially the rear LCA bolts) are gonna be wheathered on to the car and wont budge. This is why I also end up paying a shop to do things. The job is such a bitch without proper tools.
