Default not getting any grip

i recently got my car and had it for about a week and a half. I bought an 05 type s. whenever i trry to launch it on the street at 2,500 rpms, the car would just burn out till 8000 and barely go anywhere! even if im at first rolling and slam the pedal to the floor, the car will not get any grip, even in the beginning of secong gear. Im thinking it could be the tires, there not getting any grip, but the tires are good and are not worn out at all. Im just a lil confused about this cause this never happened to me with my previous cars which were a corrola, eg, and h22 accord. The tires that i have on my car are Hankook Ventus R-S2. I dont know **** about tires but if thats what it is or could be please let me know. thanks, and if so what are some good street tires that have good grip.

the only thing i can think for u is tires, if its a grip issue tires seem like the only thing that could prevent it besides a differential

with a differential both tires turn at the same time instead of one so it creates excellent traction. I've got the DC5-R lsd and only traction issues i have are cuz my tires turned into slicks aka broke cuz i can't afford new ones. With an LSD your traction issues decrease dramaticlly, i don't want to say 100% as that's a lie but you don't have real bad traction issue as you would with out LSD

i agree with gsr...most likely time for a new set of tires..but on the other hand..it could just be the fact of the car is FWD..FWD cars tend to have wheel hop..either real violent or soft depending on the car ...considering you have an 05 type-s, it probaly isnt..i have an 03 base model and i know ive felt mine before..correct me if i'm wrong but getting an engine dampener decreases this problem pretty well...but really i highly doubt it's because of that..just another suggestion...maybe you just need to break in the inner type-s beast..hit like 8 grand a couple times down to the street light and shake all the kinks out haha..jus kiddin ..i'm currently on BF Goodrich G-Force Sport all season tires...they're not so expensive but are decent tires.

the k20a, which is the typeR, comes with lSD and is only one that comes with lsd. Now the newer civic si's come with lsd but none of the rsx's come with lsd (which we got robbed).

I have Falken Azeni's RT615s and they are amazing. HUGS the road. however they last no more than around 12k miles and suck in the rain. But since i live in CA they are great get them!

PHANTOM GRIP LSD, $258 shipped. Phantom grip lsd's are differentials, they transfer your factory differential into a limited slip. They fit right inside your differential. I know a lot of people with the phantom grip and they love em. Both wheels hook up all the time, great for corners too. While the trannys out, might as well upgrade clutch and flywheel. Fidanza makes a good flywheel which weighs 8 lbs, for 270 shipped. Think about the Phantom grip, its worth it.

I screwed up the last post, i meant to say phantom grip lsd's ARENT differentials, they go right into your factory differential
