Default Ebay fog light wiring different that Factory, how do i get them to work?

I just purchased and installed some ebay fog lights in my car. I was using a factory installation guide and when I got to the wiring inside in the car I noticed the wires were different. The fog light i purchased didn't come with instuctions. The switch harness I have only has a relay block a brown plug and a green switch plug. Its missing a few more plugs from the factory switchharness. If I plug the brown and green wires into the cars fuse box thing should the lights work? If so how do they turn on, with the parking lights and headlights? I called my honda dealership and they said they don't sell that switch harness anymore. They stopped making them. What should I do? Thank.

i just installed my ebay foggies a few weeks ago and i had the same problems as you guys. as far as the wiring goes, i'm confused as to what you're having problems with. i plugged the wiring power part into the empty slot under the steering wheel. i mounted the switch next to the cigarette lighter thingy. it's like the instructions point out... once again, if you guys are more specific, i'll be able to be more clear. if you include a pic of your wiring, i'll help you label the stuff

i have no idea where the heck to plug all the plugs into. do they all have to be used? i can randomly plug stuff where it fits lol. i got all the way to the last few steps and everything went to hell. the fuse box wiring deal is very confusing

the best way that i did it was splice it and wire it to the ignition! i was confused myself and a bussy of mine did the same on his rsx and he did it for me! all he did, was wire it up to the ignition! hope that helps!

hey, im thinking of getting some ebay fogs just cuz they're cheap and im willing to go thru some hard times to wire the things instead of paying 150 on pwjdm or more for the oem ones.

just seeing any updates from you guys about your ebay fogs.

oh and what are the relays for? the two that come with the kit from handaaccessories.com

I was debating it as well. I'm glad I had the chance to read this thread before I committed to buying any.

hey djthomas. there are a lot of manuals online for honda civic fog lights. search google an actually honda manual should show up. you can use it as a guide. there should be three wires if i remember. one for a fuse, one to the fuse box, and one the the switch (i put mine beside the cigarete (i know bad spelling) lighter).

it's a lot of fun man. taking off your wheel and wheel well to run the wires. removing the plastic guard underneath and parts of the center console to get a clean install. good stuff. i loved it. esp when you're all cramped in there screaming your head off that it's not working.
