I bought a type S last week. Love the car apart from the brakes. It makes a grinding noise when braking. Is this normal?

I have taken it back to the garage today with this complaint and they have checked the brakes, told me they are ok and that the discs are within the limit and said - sometimes cars make that noise. never ever have i come across this in any car i have driven. Are they fobbing me off? Shall i take it to a Honda garage and get them to look at it and bill the garage i got it from?

Thats why you probably don't have a section for it!

 

There are some UK guys kicking around. If it has rear disc brakes, you may want to try in the RSX/EP3 forum, thats where all the civic hatchback guys hang out. USDM non-hatchback civics didnt come with rear discs, so theyd probably be able to help you out.
