Honda Beat B16 Swap
How involved do you think a B16 swap into a Beat would be? You might not know what a Beat is, there's actually a thread about one right here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1892536
Anyway, both the B16 and the Beat's engine (EO7) use cable transmissions, and a B18 HAS been done, but it was a one off thing and there's no info anywhere. What do you think would be involved?
Fabricating engine mounts for one, you'd also need to figure out how to get the power to the wheels, either by fabricating some axles to fit the B16 tranny, or by changing all of the parts to those from a Civic. After that you'd probably want new suspension to deal with the extra weight, and better breaks to deal with the extra fun.
What else is there to think about in doing this swap? I don't own a Beat yet, but I'm thinking about getting one over here in California, and if I do, I'm sure I'll want a bit more power.
