You shouldn't have to unbolt them. The only way you would need to, is if you're replacing your LCA's. The LCA connects to the trailing arm, which then connects to the hub (which is what you're replacing).

alright thanks. like i said i wasnt sure if i needed to unbolt them or not. i thought i read a long long time ago that id be using the trailing arms off of the ep3. but once again thanks for your help ill post some pics before and after when im done
Yeah, I've got the same thing going on at my place, bud.
It's quite an easy swap, to be honest. Personally, even though you can maintain the proper alignment by marking the lower hub bolt, I would get the car re-aligned for the sake of being obsessive compulsive.

They are not regular sockets. Do not use one, cause if those bolts dont rotate freely, you run the risk of rounding them off, and not being able to use the proper socket. It is the external torx i believe.
Also, Megan Racing already makes an lca for our cars, theyre beefy, and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Sorry I'm going to correct myself, went outside and looked, it is a 10 point bolt, not a torx.
Upon further investigation, there is a socket specifically designed for 01-05 Civic/RSX lca bolt. It should be less than $30, however from honda, it probably costs a considerable amount. Part number is 69330. Good luck.
