Default stripping wheels

i got civic Si wheeels and ineed to stripp the finish completely off


will aircrafts stripper be good

there 99 civic Si wheeels

or let me knwo if there is anythign eslse i could use

yea you could use aircraft stripper. What is it the clear coming off?

idk everythign is coming off bc i sanded it a little to see if it was the clean and nop lol

ill get pictures up

actually if you look on my build page i believe i ahve a pic of one of the wheeels up there

idk what page its int he beginning some where

for some reason the aircraft stripper didnt take it off

i kept it on there for a while and then scrapped it off and nothing

hmm....

i need to get this off today bc i go in for surgery tomoorrow and i want them done

Try again.

This is the only safe way to do it... I wouldnt try anything else in fear of damaging the wheel.

Aircraft remover should do the job, try it a few times and make sure you use a generous amount...I wouldn't rush it because if you use anything too coarse on the paint, you could corrode the actual wheel and thats no good.

You also may want to scuff them after you take as much of the finish off that you can. Although you cannot tell all the time (especially with the silver on the wheels) you take more off than you'd think

400-600 grit

I used a few different coats of Aircraft stripper... often using a pressure washer in between coats.

alright yeah i only put on one coat of aircraft remover but it was a generous amlunt :-p

i gotta strippe them bc they are corroded a bit and im going to paint them bronze i think

but it will have to wait till next weekend bc i have to go infor surgery tomorrow

i will let you guys knwo how it goes next week or so
