aftermarket springs/shocks + cut dead coil = ok/bad (?)
i've got a set of sportline springs and tokico shocks but the front sits higher than the back.
i wanna lower the front a lil bit more so the wheel gap is even.
will i be ok if i just cut one coil (dead coil) off the front springs?

I wouldn't do it because I have done it in the past with neuspeed race springs in my ef. I rode fine, but the squeeking got to me big time!!

both brand new. put them on a couple weeks ago.
this is a 6th gen sedan and it does sit higher in the front than back with stock suspension.
sportlines should be 2" drop (front and back), so i think that's just how they're made.

Unless you can make the top of the springs level, they won't sit right in the top of the strut = squeek like crazy. Don't believe me, go try it. Just trying to save you some headaches.

this might be dumb of me to ask.......
but did you install the springs on the proper side of the vehicle (i.e. front to back)? maybe you could take a snapshot of your ride somehow and post it up?

i beg to differ, on two accounts.
My 200sx had the rear struts blown and it was a inch and a quater lower than it was when they were replaced.
Also, i just put new rear shocks on one of teh tarus' at my shop because it was also blown and the suspension was sagging alot.

i wouldnt do it either. check this.. the wheel gaping is different because the size of the fender/wheel well is different. go out to your car and measuer from the ground to the top of the fender. the fronts are taller then the rear and besides cutting springs is about the worst thing you can do to your ride besides getting ebay springs
