05 rsx-s exaust question
i have i o5 type s and it has headers with the stock exaust piping. it also has a injen cai and a stage 2 clutch. since my car has headers on stock piping it makes loud popping sounds at high rpms. i was wondering could this be because of the back pressure? if so i am thinking that this is making me lose power as wel. i could be wrong here cause its just what im thinking. any advice on this would really help. thanks...
i have the same setup and i dont have any popping noises... i do have a lil hissy noise but havent gotten time to check upon it... make sure everything is bolted up right... along with a gasket between the end of ur header to the exhaust piping.... thats all i can think of ??
im trying to look and search and so far i found skunk 2, greddy, and apex exaust system. i read what the other dude wrote about the skunk 2 one and im pretty impressed with what he said about it but am wondering what are all the names of the exaust systems that are made for the rsxs?

i had a cai/rh/stock exhaust combo for about a year and i didn't get a single "pop" sound
only thing i can think of that would cause that if its a 05-06 has a i/rh/e
its been known that having that combo would shoot a small ball of flame out of your tailpipe (hence the popping)
i haven't seen it in person but i have seen a vid of it
granted that it does look cool, it isn't healthy for the engine (not enough fuel in the mixture)

what headers do you have? i think you are losing mid to high, no doubt you still have your low end because you have stock piping.
