Default How to take off the power steering belt?

I know this is a very stupid question, but I'm not all that mechanically inclined and I don't wanna mess anything up, but how do you take that belt off? I need a new pump and mine is old and is making a bunch of noise because it sat around for a while outside of the car I just wanna take the belt off that way I don't have to hear that sound in the meantime.

three 12 mm bolts around at pump mounts. one inside crook of pully, and two higher up and more visible. loosen all three bolts. loosen lock bolt (12 mm too) than take 10 mm and turn out tension bolt to lower whole unit down. then spin the power steering pully while holding the belt to wind the belt off of pully. remove belt completly. when you change pump, just gently pinch rubber hoses with vice grips around a cloth(around the rubber hose) on both sides. disconnect hoses and pull off. the system wont have to be bled if you dont allow air into system. then reinstall reverse order. DO not over tighten belt. leave tension bolt till last. fire up car and tighten untill free spinning stops. rotate steering wheel while motor running and see if belt is too tight (Whinning) or too loose (spinning on pully)
Oh with new pump, try to get new belt please

btw over tightning tension pin puts stress on crank. DON'T do it

np...just did it yesterday. my pumps going so im in process of putting a referbished one in when it gets here. Makes car a **** load quieter without ps belt on. my pump sounds like cement mixer.
LOL, honda tried to tell me it was my water pump and were recommending i do timing and water pump (which i did a month ago and has Absolutly no sound comming from it when ps pump is off)

You don't happen to know where I can find a diagram of the pump and what bolts I need to take off do you?

its too simple man. just look at your top pump (power steering pump, is the one with belt that goes to outside of crank pully.inside one goes to alternator, and bottom one is ac pump) Top two pully bolts are on left side of pump in sliding groves. The tensionor bolt and lock bolt are on top. Tensionor bolt is a long bolt that comes out other side of mounting bracket and sits inside a hollow. when tightenend it forces pully up. The third mounting bolt is under pully. if you look down to where you would see your crank pully, look up a bit to where it meets power steering pully. right where belt and pully meet is a third mounting bolt/nut. loosen bolts, remove tension by sliding lock nut up tension bolt shaft.(don't remove bolts / nuts completely, unless pulling pump out)
