Default Popping and sputtering

hey i just sent my head out to get shaved and pressure checked and i got it back and i put arp head studs on and cometic head gasket i have a d16 turbo setup and i also put pro d series intake mani on it and when i went to start it back up today it ran like crap it was like popping and sputtering and not idleing correct jsut low and rough anyone have ideas mabye timing or something i am almost posative i set it correct. all help is apreciated thanks!

Valve adjustment?
You get the timing belt back on the right cogs? If you're off by one it'll idle and run like crap. Check the ignition timing as well.

Check for vacuum leaks first. Double check your cam timing.

does that sound like a blown head gaskett? its new i think i might just check the timing again and also check for vacum leakes any other ideas what should the crank pully be lined up with?

Well, if your not sure about the timing marks, that should be the FIRST thing you do. Do a search for timing marks or hit up the FAQ section. Get the cam timing right first, and then let us know.

There's a mark on the pulley and a mark on the lower cover. They should line up. The lines on the cam gear should be even with the surface of the head.

Just tossing it out there.... maybe a plug not gapped right, I had one that slipped off the ratchet and banged the electrode on the way in, I didnt think anything of it but it caused a rough/popping idle until I replaced it.

haha that is exacty what happended lol i was pulling off the wires wile it was running to see if it would bogg out and it bogged out on all three and then on the 4th cylinder it ran the same when i pulled the wire off so i popped out the plug and the gap was closed so i re gapped it and it ran fine lol and the whole time i was thinking that they touched my valves when i sent it out to get my head shaved and pressure checked... when i was a stupid plug i must have dropped it or something when intalizing. thanks for everyones help i appreciate it.
