Its a bigger car, in a different market segment, with more power, more amenities, and more refinement. Its like an apples to oranges argument.

 

It's a larger, more substantial car.

its a little more luxury than the civic depending on what years you are comparing the accord and civic too.

 

I believe that accord is not just a little luxury it is infact a luxurious vehicle

 

i have a lot of people telling me not to get a civic because they are not as reliable (engine) wise as an accord and the accord body work offers better protection.
Refering t othe 2001-2005 models of both car.

 

The 01-05 Civic is a very reliable car, as with pretty much all Hondas if maintained and looked after properly. Problems arise when you don't, or when you skip maintenance shedules but that can be said for any vehicle.

As for the Accord offering more protection than the Civic, perhaps it does slighty. But then a Legend would offer more than an Accord, and a Range Rover even more than that... etc etc...

 

I would think a civic would outlast an accord 9 times outa 10.
