Default I need h22 build help.

Ok I'm installing type-s cams in a h22a4 head. I am getting a new type-s valvetrain but Ive read a lot about this whole retainers hitting the valve seals thing. I have not ever recieved a definate answer to this. Could someone please help me with this? Will i have a clearance issue with type-s cams in a usdm 97 and up head. If so can I just buy raised spring retainers? Ive never heard of anyone selling thes except with full valvetrains. Any help is appreciated. And I promise Ive seached plenty and havent been able to find an answer.

What about taller springs? Don't know much about type s valvetrain. Most likely you will have to get the head put together to know if you have clearance problems. There might be shims that you can use as well.

Thanks. I already have the type s valvetrain so I am hoping to stay with it. Anyone else know?

just have the bottoms of the retainers shaved, that is the cheapest way.
