Default T1R exhaust...

Hey guys, I am in the market for an exhaust and I made a thread regarding some videos adn they told me I can make a thread here regarding seeing some in preson as well.

If neone has an HKS w/test pipe, Greddy Ti-C, T1R's etc etc and near LA, I'd appreciate it if we can meet up and I can take a look of the exhaust noise in person. I can't decide and its been 4 months already. Please it wuold be great, thanks!

I got ar ide in the HKS and that thing is TOOO QUIET. all you hear is the engine noise to be honest and a waste of 700 bucks considering u dont gain nething from noise to power. I haven't heard one wiht a test pipe tho so I dono bout that.

I'm leaning towards the T1R sparrow now. what do you guys think of this? any info woul dbe awesome!

LOL are you joking? HKS is too loud while invidia is quiet? HKS is one of the more quiet duals out there, invidia being on the loud side, it drones like crazy..

Yes I am FI, but it sounded the same n/a also.

I meant if he thought the HKS was to quiet, get an Invidia instead.

yea its on backorder till mid to late june I hope i can come across someone that has it and i can check it out in person before i purchase one...

now with the HKS, i heard the one in person and it was the quietest thing ever but I saw 2 videos including one with a test pipe and it was ten folds louder then the on in person...anyone know why this was the case? b/c all i hear is the HKS is the best and awesome noise but in person taht made ZERO noise literally but the 2 in the videos sounded more like waht ppl were bragging about.

There are instances where people don't install the center canister, and cap off the openings. It gives it a different note. The test pipe would also change that.

IMO, this is one of the better sounding exhausts. Barely louder than stock, with a deep tone.

Yea, it doesn't sound that bad unless you're gunning it. Otherwise it's kinda like stock.

i think hes looking for one that has a noticeably tuned sound. not obnoxiously loud.

yup. the HKS made no noise. whats the pt of a 700 dollar exhaust especially if u get zero gains and from waht I hear, potential power loss.

Wow, totally opposite. HKS is a LOT quieter than the Invidia. I'm 110% sure on that.

I can't rem completely tho as it was a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time ago. I do rem hearing an exhaust on a S2k, and i thought it was the HKS but looks wise, no where near it but that baby sounded amazing!

so are about half the things you do EVERYDAY, and you probably dont know about it.

Replace the cat with a test pipe and your drone WILL reduce.
