Default Engine Bolt-Ons

I heard from several members that no matter what engine bolt-ons you put into an LX, you won't get any power gains. Is this true?

It depends maybe, I have a Blitz Nur spec with silencer and simota air filter and I noticed a good response in mid acceleration(3rd to 4th gear), four days ago I was force by the police to change my exhaust because as per him It's BIG....though it's not making that roaring sound my explanation is useless. Now I'm using a stock exhaust and man to evertake someone the RPM must climb to 5k to 6k before passing by...I miss my Blitz..

what the use of posting here if i'm lying????
If you want you can try, it's a beat. if you prove I'm wrong I will stop posting here or ban me here from this site.
but consider this:

Engine oil: castrol edge fully synthetic
Spark Plugs: NGK iridium
Air filter: Simota
Exhaust: Blitz nur spec with silencer

EDIT: and by the way that's when I'm using A D15Y3 my toasted engine. now i have D17A1. both engine non-vtec.
