Default Are skunk2 titanium valves a direct drop in?

As the topic states. Ive got an obd1 b16 head and some bent valves in it. My buddy is hooking me up with brand new Skunk2 titanium valves for a dohc vtec head. So can i just pop those in or does work have to be done. Theyre not oversize or anything.

You'll need lash caps.

Are they an oem part, or aftermarket? Something i can get from a local parts store? Other than that they'll drop in?

I suggest taking your head to a machine shop.
Have them cut the valve seats for the new valves.
Make sure to do a valve adjustment before start up.

you cant just throw new valves in a head. they might not seat correctly, then you have more problems and end up spending more money

simple headwork is like 80-100 bucks. that would be cutting the valves/seats and a shave if you want

Titanium valves have a limited service life.I would never run used ones in anything I cared about if I didn't know their exact history. You won't see any performance difference in a dd street car anyway.Just use some oem ones.

They are not Titanium. If so you need to change guides, and seats. Ti valves are $80-90.00 each, being a E-bay guy they may cost too much for you. I would suggest stock replacements, or cheap SI replacements, then you could get the seats cut.
