Default Clutch Fluid Leaks

Howdy!

I have a 98 Honda Prelude w/ ~120k miles on it. I have recently been having a problem with the clutch fluid leaking at a fairly decent rate. I have to refill it about once a month for the past 2 months. I have checked the line and cannot find any areas where the fluid is leaking. I was hoping that someone else has had a similar problem and can help me out.

Thanks
Steven

Well, there's not much to the clutch hydraulics. Check the fitting on the master cylinder, check the hard line, and check the fitting and seals on the salve cylinder. There is a boot on the slave that you may need to pull back to check the seal.

It has to be leaking from somewhere....try physically touching everything to make sure it's not wet.

theres also the clutch dampener that i've heard is notorious for leaking, this is located on the passenger side below the shock tower i believe, i am not sure exactly where it is on a prelude, because i own an accord.

I forgot about the damper! (mines been gone for a while )

Here's the whole line and damper, which should be on the passenger side frame rail...

There is way too much **** in a clutch system...why can't they just put a straight shot SS line from the reservoir to the slave cyl...

only cause Honda loves to make everything difficult just like getting to the fuel filter on the 97-01 Preludes

just from this happening to me currently i would probably have to say its your master cylinder. mine has a crack in it and has the same symptoms as what your getting now. get that checked out. its nothign crucial but its just kinda a PITA when you have to keep re filling it.

check and make sure bolt number 13 is tight and has crush washers. thats where my leak was. also, how far do you have to push your clutch pedal down before it engages/disengages?
