'93 Honda Accord won't Start
My '93 Accord died at a red light and I was able to get it started but it acted like it was not getting enough "juice" to keep it running so I put it in neutral (while light was red) and gave it more gas. I was able to drive the 4-5 blocks to home but when I slowed to turn in drive, the engine died again and since then, I have not been able to start it.
I have downloaded a service manual.
Any help is appreciated!
Thank You!
Ann

Some basic things:
Good fresh gas in the tank?
Strong enough battery with clean battery connections?
If those do not help, what is it that the engine does exactly? Turns but won't start? Does not turn over? Etc.

I so appreciate your reply.
I have about a quarter of a tank of gas and the battery is fairly new (although, I did jump start another vehicle a few days ago). Battery connections are clean.
When I turn the ignition, it just "cranks" does not sound like I am getting a spark.

Was your battery light on?
I think it may be the alternator. The alternator probably wasn't charging properly. Have the alternator checked.
Also make sure the battery is fully charged again before starting it with the new alternator; otherwise you risk damaging the new alternator.
On a side note: Sometimes the alternator brush pack can just be replaced to fix the alternator. (Not in every case, but in many.) Many mechanics prefer to just replace the whole alternator.

You just need gas. They do this as they get older you hit the brakes and all the gas in the tank goes to the front and the pump can't pick it up anymore. throw a gallon in it and see what it does.
If the battery was dead then the car wouldn't even turn over. you would just hear the click from the main relay.
Actually it could be the main relay. If you turn the key and you don't hear it click under the dash and you don't hear the fuel pump kick on then, It's main relay it's a gray box under the dash in the drivers side floor board. Look straight up from the floor board and it's behind a silver metal box. The main relay is gray and plastic.
