I'm assuming the 8.5 was with slicks or drag radials.
Is the engine stock?
Get a nice set of cams, valvetrain, and a good tune.

lets not forget a good header, and a AEM ITR 3inch CAI, maybe port match the IM to a 65mm TB and get 200whp
