Default d16 vs d15

what are the major differences between the two blocks?

I know you can put a y8 or z6 head on a d15..

is one block stronger than the other??

which is better for high hp and boost?

still researching

is one block stronger than the other? i don't know much about d-series motors, but i would imagine that there is much of a difference.

go with the D16, 'cause of the longer stroke - which will have the more torque output...

in basis DD15 & D16 blocks are the same...only the difference is in the crankshaft & piston rods!

Vtec Shmetec.

d16 = more displacement I guess? Either way it's a gutless econobox motor. The only way you're going to impress anyone is if you boost it.

well.. DUH...

My aim is about 350 - 400HP.. Eagle H beam rods and Vitara pistons with ARP headstuds are in the future.... along with a standalone fuel management system using chrome and an ostrich and an OBD1 ecu... I am also building a pc in the car so I can tune on the fly as well as listen to all my downloaded mp3s and have video capabilities. Not to mention wireless internet and GPS.. This is a future daily driven show car..

I can't believe that in all your worthlessness on this site you actually have the nerve to tell me I'm a troll and tell people I'm giving out misinformation.

actually if you have a verizon wireless internet card you can get online wherever you have a cell tower.. The GPS is going to be done with special software that is designed to run on a laptop that has an external antenna and does not require an internet connection. But its damn cool to pull up to my house and just upload the music that I obtain online from my home wireless network as well as rip cd's directly to the hard drive when inserted.
