Default Can anyone vouch for J-K-TUNING.COM?

Hey, I bought a P28 ECU and an OBD2-OBD1 harness from j-k-tuning.com. It came in the mail today and it turns out that the ecu is a P06. I know you can convert p06-p28 but if I asked for a p28 why would I receive a P06? Anyway... it came with no receipt or anything explaining what exactly I have received. It was also packaged with balled up paper and plastic bags...? I dunno. Has anyone had any experience with them? This ECU is very important to my tuning.

Thank you

If I recall, they list "P28 Spec" on their site, which means a P06 converted to run VTEC, so essentially it's the same as a P28. As long as the VTEC hardware is in the ECU, I wouldn't worry about it. P06->P28 conversion is pretty common and many people run them with no problems.

does it really matter, the guy does good work, who cares if it is a acura legend ecu as long as it functions the same?

Lol John Kerr is his name

John does excellent work, and I will vouch for him all day long. Ive had 3 ecu's done by him, and is also a friend of mine.

Did you try to PM him and talk to him about the situation?

Either way, im sure he will be in here to chime in about this.

hey man. Sorry if there was any confusion. I just noticed that I didn't have the "it might be a converted P06 ecu" on the package deals section of my site. It was brought to my attention.

The ecu you received like stated should work with your vtec engine, the proper parts were installed to convert the ecu to vtec. If you have any problems at all, just get ahold of me via email or pm.

Thanks for the vouches also

Ah, and the packaging... i make sure the ecu just doesn't move around.. if it takes paper to get it in there I will usually use it. Sorry if there was a problem with the packaging.

I can vouch for John. I've sent many of my customers to him to have their ecus chipped and have used his ecus to do my tuning as well

I know this is old.. but I want to thank you guys for your confidence in my work. A certain someone in another forum seems to think the work I do is rediculous for some reason and that his is the best in the universe. Gladly he is not a part of this site as far as I know. I was just starting to get a little fed up with it.

Well my ecu's are better then urs. LOL i hate that. I changed a program on a ECU that you did I forgot the customers name and I can vouch for your soldering ability, the ecu had no issues and everything looked good to me.

As far as the P06 conversion I do the same thing. Never had any issues if a customer truly wants a p28 then they can get one but not for the same price

I have a P05 converted P28, and it works fine. I asked him the same question, and if you read it'll say if he dont have P28's you'll get a converted ECU
