K-Pro Vs S300
K pro is specifically for K series ecu's/ engines. It is not compatible with non K series hardware from what I know.
S300 is the lastest from hondata in their OBD I systems. Basically this is what everything else but the K series uses (the OBD I systems that is). You use a conversion harness for OBDII vehicles to convert to using the OBD I ecu and this system (or the earlier s100, s200)
I would go with the s200 or s300 system (in fact thats what I run), these are both proven performers. s200 you can get quite a bit cheaper but it still uses a chip burning style tuning method. That is, you have to pull the chip out of the ecu... burn your new tune and reinstall... very simple but some people want more. In that case the s300 is the next step up, more money but you dont burn chips convetionaly anymore. Instead you plug in a usb to the side of your ecu and sync with it... then basically you just load your new tune and your ready to go.
Obviously these are simplified explinations cause there is alot of information to talk about when discussing these systems. For a features list check out these links.
http://www.hondata.com/s200.html (FYI pricing on this link is not really accurate anymore, those are the original release retail prices. The 3 step limiter and datalogging are now standard, you get them for free now with any s200... you would just need to make sure you get the boost option).
http://www.hondata.com/s300.html (pricing is pretty accurate on this one. although you may get a slightly better deal if you buy one and ecu from one of the sponsors on here).

Oh and obviously hondata is not your only options for engine management but it is the one I prefer.
There is also Chrome, Neptune, Ectune (not quite release yet), Aem ems, etc, it just all depends on what your price range is, options your want, availability, and what your tuner is most comfortable with.

Like I said that is just the basic explination of the systems... I wish I had more time to go into depth further than these short posts (I am at work). If you want any other thoughts on these systems post anything you want to ask about these systems and we can do the best possible to get your some answers. The FI forum has a TON of good information in past and present threads as well.

Actually, I just went to hondata.com and checked it out. K-pro is being offered for other hondas that aren't k powered, even D series civics!. The only thing is it's DAMN expensive! 1175 for the k-pro install, then if you don't have a k ecu then you gotta fork out another $600. So its now at $1775, thats a grip! BUT, I know how well it works though. To me it's only worth it if you want/need to use all the options.

Yeah I was aware they were begining to offer it for other engines than the K, I just did not know they had released them yet completely.
Correction then, remove engines from the first sentence of my original post.

Thats what I am saying... I will stick with the S series systems. If I am going to spend 1800, I am going with a full EMS like AEM.

What real benefits will I see with an AEM EMS . I know I wont see anymore power . I use my 380whp accord as a DD and I am starting to Race on the Track pretty soon. So just with the S100 Vs the K-Pro on my application, whats the benefits.
hrmm, i notice no one ever talks about apexi powerFC, HKS F-Con,Greddy E-manage, and other JDM EMS. just curious to why is that, is it because of lack of avaible tuners and/or pricing?

Mostly it is the additional features and capabilities, although some insist it is slightly more tunable (which is all debatable considering the features on hondata, ectune, neptune, chrome, etc). Also the aem can run ignition trigger setups like tony1 t1 crank setup, you have more aux outputs for controlling nitrous or whatever you want, etc.
