N/A d16z6 question
i just bought a d16 n/a build now the motor has been completely rebuilt, but the head is stock for now, also has ARP'S, it has P29 pistons and a built bottom end and not 100% sure what else but it was done professionally and i was told it had 12 1/2 to 1 compression. now i am kinda a noob to tuning and i know i am gonna have to tune this right? i just wanted to know what you guys think i should do for tuning. i was thinking of using a safc but i dont know. also what about timing, spark plugs, intake setup which will be the stock d16z6 one, injectors. Thanks Tons!!
dont go safc. I have the same setup and am running crome. Get your car to somone with tuneing experience and a wideband. get stable a/f ratios then take her to the dyno. remember dont run any less than 91 oct.
Dont try messing with ignition timing unless your on the dyno or at the least, a wideband.
The stock z6 intake manni Is a decent manifold. The y8 is called superior by some but its debateable.
Your not going to need injectors.
BTY I wouldnt call your bottom end "built" if it only has p29's and rod bolts.
