Default Tire size selection for 17's

I was planning on getting some 16x7 Konig Heliums for my DB7 but yesterday I found a set of wheels I liked more but the smallest size they had was 17x7... I have acouple of quick questions... Alot of people recommended getting 205/45/16 for the Heliums so im thinking of just getting the same size but in 17"s... will that be fine? or should I go with a bigger tire? For the people with 17" wheels could you post your tire sizes? also will a 42mm offset fit on my DB7? The Konigs had a 40mm offset so I know it would fit but im not sure how much a 2mm diffrence would make but I rather be safe than sorry before I order them because I plan on getting a Koni/GC setup from Weksos soon and I wanna drop my car a considerable ammount... basically I wanna tuck the tires in the wheel well a little bit... any info/thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

Also do you guys think I could go with 205/40/17? because it seems that that size has more of a selection that the 205/45/17.
