Tire Size Question
I'm about to get some new tires for my 16" wheels with a +40mm offset. I was wondering what is the correct wheel size so there would be no rubbing. 215/45/16 or 205/45/16? What would you recommend? What are the pro's and con's? Thanks.

Re: Tire Size Question (GSR18)
205/45/16 is the correct size. Theoretically, you could run the wider size, but the overall tire diameter would be farther off from your stock diameter, leading to a more inaccurate reading on your speedometer.
The 215mm tire also has a greater chance of rubbing for obvious reasons, especially at a +40 offset.

Re: Tire Size Question (degradated)
also...the wider tire will tend to be a couple pounds heavier per tire, if you are concerned with weight. I spent prime $$ on superlight wheels, so I made sure to also choose a tire that is light weight (Toyo T1-S)... The same tire in the 215 size was 2 pounds heaver per corner, I believe.
