Default header suggestion

Im doing a b18b swap into an ef sedan, and will most likely be doing a fully custom exhaust done, seeing how the exhaust on the car is rotted out... the custom exhaust is going to be 2.5" and will be made to look as stock as possible, my local exhaust shop does work for insanely cheap.

what is a good header to use for a good price?

im most likely getting a brand new etd traction bar as well.

a lot of people use dc, but i also hear people calling dc rice...

im up for people selling them also.

headers have a big price range they can be cheap or be very expensive the more money you pay on a header the better performance it will have. for cheaper headers look at pacesetter or dc these headers will not be the best though if you want a good header go with smsp or hytech or custom built

My DC stainless steel headers have worked great for me with no probs, i can't say the same for the ceramic coated. And the DC's are CARB #'s if you ever try 2 get the car barrd and go legit

i dont care if i get flamed, and i rarely ever see threads on headers... i searched earlier and all i get is for sale threads.

spoon sport headers are 700 for just the header and 300 for the downpipe... thats 1k right there... really not what i want to pay for a header...

this isnt a saving money thing...
this is a im getting a 4k$ loan and its all being put into a b18b swap in an 88 sedan.
and i want to strictly keep myself under that limit.

other than the exhaust work the header will be the last thing that i buy, so i guess i will see how much i have left over

you will have to set a cap on how much you can spend then on the header and stay with it i mean really all I can say is the more you spend the better it will be

Get header for the motor. DON'T GET A LOAN TO MOD A CAR!

Spoon's header is not that great, it's good but the cost makes it a poor buy. For that price you are up to RMF Toda etc.

Rage makes a great header for not insane money, around 500ish if they still kick around everyone and their brothers swings off the edlbrok pro, with a 2.5 collector mod, it's what I use but people honestly swing off it lol.

DC sports are a waste, I helped a friend with a Greddy header, pretty low price he got it for 275 IIRC and it wasn't bad at all for lower budget.

Now really one thing to ask you no ones bothered to do yet is what work will be done on the car just i/h/e or more? Diff things matter to have a header match up to your power band and all. Esp for top dollar ones, you'll have one made to your exact motor and mods.

So what are you going for really, most of the names just shouted out will work and do well but one might trade off 2 peak HP for 2 under band, but that might not suit you.
