Well I've tried everything my apprentice mechanic mind can think of short of putting a motor in it. The car blows absolutely no smoke. I've replaced the O2 sensor, exhaust from manifold back, fuel filter, PCV valve, cap and rotor, plugs and wires, oil change, cleaned air filter. I also used methal hydrate when doing the emissions test and used seaform because the car sat for a few months.
The car is averaging about 130miles to the top half of the tank and 279miles to the whole tank. Personally this seems rediculous as my friend with the exact same car, similar driving habits and roughly the same mileage will attain 403miles to a full tank of gas.
Is there anything else I can try before yanking the motor.

EDIT** Attempted to trip codes out of the car this weekend and couldn't get the check engine light to light up. Took cluster out and replaced the bulb. Did not fix it. Checked fuse and there is power to it. All the lights in the cluster light up but this group of 5 (check engine, trunk, gas, seat belt and one other one). What should I be trying next?
My thought is the ECU is not getting enough power to reprogram itself. I'm figuring this because only after I replaced parts did the fuel mileage get worse.

Perhaps there is an issue with your FPR or injectors.

Worn map sensor is a big contributor to crappy gas mileage.

yes. do a flow test and an injector leakdown test. but you need a tool to do so that plugs into the injector and a fuel pressure gauge to measure the fuel pressure drop each injector is spraying...

my car is a 95 civic ex coupe on a full tank i average about 250 to 270 miles .....bone stock no aftermarket....

 

Not to be off subject, but my girlfriend's 96 Integra LS gets only 200 miles to a tank and thats driving very conserve. I change out the spark plugs with OEM NGK. I seafoamed it, It's running with GS-R OEM spark plug wires(I do not know if that will make a differnece in gas millage) The intake is AEM short ram. Tires are all stock size with proper inflation. How can I determind if my PCV is bad or fuel filter or injectors, etc. Any test I can run?

could it be that you ahve a heavy foot I have a 98 ex and I can get milage like that if I am in all the time like I ussually ambut if I drive right then I cane get 35mpg

 

believe it or not there is more to gas mileage than motor issues. tires are important. if they are wider than stock that'll reduce mileage. if they are low on air, or worn down that hurts you. another cause alot of folks never think of is brake sticking. if your caliper slides are grabing or sticking then it's like you have your foot easy on the brakes all the time.

replacing parts can help like i think you said cap, rotor, plugs, air filter... but you gotta get things in adjustment too like the idle and the ignition timing. having a timing belt out of time can cause it too but you would probly notice that one. but if you can't get the dist. adjusted for the right timing then i would go straight to the t-belt.

i shouldn't even have to say that extra weight needs to go. keep the cars clean, no crap laying around you don't need, don't keep your closet in your trunk or your trash can in your back seat. everyone should know this. spare tire, jack and what you have to have with you (books if you are on the way to school, groceries if you are coming from the store...) yeah common sense.

 

well I drive a 93 si with an h2b and I get almost 31 sometimes 30 to the gallon and that's with a b16 tranny

 

umm i got a dc2 with a b20/ls getting 34 mpg and 30 mpg to the floor yay but yeah make sure you check everything is the clutch fucked up? put a fuel treatment in the tank for the next 4 or so fillups ect
