Default The "right" way to hook up VTEC?

Hey everyone, Relic1 helped me get my VTEC working on my car, but it brought on some new CEL codes.
I used to only get a 22 (VTEC Oil Pressure Valve Switch), now I get a 23 (Knock Sensor) and a 42 (O2 Sensor Heater, Primary).
The first CEL code (code 22) is now gone, but these other two CEL codes worry me.

So I was thinking, maybe the way I had to get my VTEC working was a bad method.
What I did was, jump A4 to C6 on the ECU connectors. This supposedly bypasses the VTEC Oil Pressure Valve Switch.

The reason I had to do this (or so I was told) is because I have a JDM engine, but a USDM ECU.
Apparently, the JDM engines don't use a VTEC Oil Pressure Valve Switch, but the USDM ECU looks for one.

So what I'm looking for is a better way to get my VTEC to work, and get rid of these CEL codes.

Here is some information about my car that you might need.
Engine: B16A2 (JDM)
ECU: P30-000 (USDM, Canada)
Wiring: OBD1

If you need anything else, let me know. I'm on trial status so I can only do 5 posts per day (btw, how long before I'm off trial status? )

Thanks for reading, I look forward to all you brilliant people out there!
